CARE INSTRUCTIONS

FRESH CUT FLOWER CARE:

Keep flowers in a cool and dark environment away from direct sunlight and heat.

Trimming your stems and refreshing your water daily will encourage longevity.

If you receive a wrapped flower arrangement, remove packaging and trim stems about ½ inch at an angle with a sharp pair of shears. Remove any foliage that will sit below the water line. Place flowers in a clean container with fresh water.

DRIED FLOWER CARE:

Be gentle! Dried flowers are delicate.

Keep away from humidity or moisture of any kind.

Avoid direct sunlight to slow the natural fading of color.

PLANT CARE:

Care will vary based on plant genus and species within that genus. For example, the care for a Heartleaf Philodendron varies from the care of a Tree Philodendron. The guides below are a general overview but researching care for your specific plant may be beneficial.

Examples of light levels:
Direct light: Place your plant in or near a window where sun shines directly during the day, i.e. south facing windows.
Indirect light: Place your plant in a room away from the window where sun shines during the morning and evening, i.e. east/west facing windows.
Low light: Place your plant in a room that gets little light during the day, i.e. north facing windows.
**It is important to note that all plants need some form of light. If a room with a window is unavailable, a UV plant light will help low-light varieties.

Examples of ways to increase humidity:
Set plant pot on a tray or saucer full of river rocks. Fill with just enough water to cover the rocks. (Roots should not be sitting in water—the goal is to allow the water to evaporate around the plant).
Mist leaves with a spray bottle full of distilled water.
Use a personal-sized humidifier (no essential oils).

How much should I water?
If your plant’s container has drainage holes, move your plant to a sink or bathtub and water until it begins to drain from the bottom. Discard any water that has accumulated in the saucer. To prevent roots from rotting, do not allow plant to sit in standing water.

If your plant’s container does not have a drainage hole, water your plant conservatively. Water just enough to moisten the top of the soil and allow extra time between watering for your soil to dry.

However, many of our customers have found success with the ice cube method! Find what works best for you! **If you try the ice cube method, avoid placing the ice cubes directly on the roots to prevent cell damage.
